Further Information
I offer effective and practical help for people who are depressed, anxious, phobic or suffering from stress, trauma, sleeplessness, bereavement, panic attacks, nightmares, abuse, bullying, OCD, eating disorders, obsessions, addiction, anger disorders, or relationship problems; using a wide range of therapeutic methods shown to be effective by evidence based research.
I will work with you from the very first session, and in as few sessions as possible, to:
– Help you relax
– Reduce difficulties and stress in your life
– Help you set some goals that are achievable and stress-reducing
– Aid you to take back control of your life.
I do not encourage long term therapy and I aim to help people restore a healthy life, swiftly and independently.
My background is in business management, administration and finance and I have owned three successful businesses. I am very interested in volunteerism and I have worked and volunteered for a number of charities and not-for-profit organisation, especially those in the creative sectors. I have worked and volunteered in the caring sector since 2001 and have attended a wide variety of training, the most important being Human Givens Psychotherapy which offers clear and effective treatments for people in crisis.
Bringing my experience in business and therapy together, I can offer support to individuals who have become victims of bullying in the workplace and by cult-like organisations, as well as working with people to reduce other stresses in their lives, and to develop a healthy work/life balance.
I will support you to take charge of your life and make the changes you may require. You are in control of the information that you provide, and the methods I use in the session to overcome your current stresses, do not require you to delve too far into uncomfortable memories, should you not wish to.
I am passionate about helping people to leave each session with a feeling of restored confidence and renewed hope
